The Power of Oats. Bottled.

Spotted On: BeverageDaily.com

Ben, from BeverageDaily.com, gives us his thoughts on Oatworks:

Surprisingly refreshing, with a berry burst on the pallet - it contains apple, pear and pomegranate juices from concentrate, as well as raspberry and blueberry purees. The drink has a velvety smoothness due to the oat soluble fiber content, but as a juice based product is relatively high in sugar, with 170/355ml. That said, there is no added sugar, and only natural flavors and colors are used.

Stacey, blogger of Stacey's Reviews, shares why she loves Oatworks:

To my surprise I didn't taste the oats at all nor did i feel any in my mouth when i drink them. If the bottle wouldn't have said there was oats in it i honestly wouldn't have known. These smoothies are very delicious! Whats so great about them is that they have enough oats for two bowls of oatmeal in each bottle, That is amazing It's great for people like me that do not care for oatmeal i don't eat it. So this smoothie is great to get my oats in my body that i need. I drank one for breakfast and it really curved my appetite it kept me full and satisfied till lunch time.

I’ve been a big smoothie lover these days, while cleansing I’ve had one in place of breakfast everyday and it really boosts my energy in the mornings. The Oat Works smoothie is 100% juice packed with blueberries, pomegranates, and oats to give you a sustained energy. I loved it!

Katie, from Vegan Noms, reviews the recent Vegan Cuts box (which had Oatworks in it) and shares why she loves Oatworks:

This Oat Works Pomegranate Blueberry Smoothie was a pleasant surprise. Usually I am pretty cautious when it comes to pom-flavored products due to the tartness factor, but this was just the right balance of sweet and tart. The texture was perfect, as well - not too watery and not too thick. Very yum!

A Helping Hand: Oatworks Partners with City Harvest

Oatworks is proud to partner with local non-profit City Harvest for the annual Feed the Kids food drive. Oatworks will be assisting with food collection in the drive to provide city children with much-needed summer nutrition. An official release to PRNewswire explains the benefit:

During the summer vacation months, one in four New York City children may face hunger in the absence of school lunches. City Harvest’s annual drive aims to fill that gap by collecting and distributing food to pantries and soup kitchens throughout the summer. Last year, the drive amassed 150,000 pounds of food–enough to feed more than 1,600 families for an entire summer.

In the business of filling people up with superfoods designed to do bodies good, Oatworks couldn’t be a more fitting participant in the drive. Packed with beta glucan, a naturally occurring soluble fiber considered to be the healthiest part of the oat, Oatworks oat and fruit smoothies are a perfect source of energy and nutrients for anyone needing a little food rescue.

David Peters, Founder and CEO of Oatworks, said, “We are very proud to be partnering with City Harvest in their 2014 Feed the Kids food drive. Oatworks is on a mission to bring healthier beverages to the residents of NYC.”

Jessica, blogger of Sassy Girl Fitness, shares why she loves Oatworks:

Since initially discovering Oatworks, I have tried all three flavors, though the Strawberry Banana is my favorite. Regardless of which flavor I have chosen to drink, the end result is the same. A natural energy boost that is sustainable. I drink one of these prior to teaching my 3 nearly back to back barre classes. To date, oatworks hasn't failed me, I have the energy needed to get through all three classes without any sluggishness caused by overexertion.

Sara, blogger of Loving On The Run, shares 5 things she loves and Oatworks is one of them. Here's why:

Oatworks has quickly become one of my favorite smoothie additives. While, Oatworks is already a smoothie in itself I enjoy mixing it with other healthy additives and creating my own. [...]

The combination of fruit and fiber from oats help to keep you energized and taste delicious.

Shannon, blogger of Ramblings of a Tattooed Mom, shares why she loves Oatworks:

I received one of each flavor for this review. I will admit, I was shocked at how good they actually were. This may be one of my new breakfast drinks in the morning!

Peaches (fresh, juicy, delectable), mangoes (tropical, bright, sweet) and oats blended (whirrrr) into one surprisingly smooth (lump-free) experience.

I can taste the peach overall. This is a great flavor and perfect AM wake me up drink.

Nicole, a blogger who compiles the best money-makers and money-savers for you, gives her views on Oatworks smoothies and finds them super filling and yummy:

Drinking a fruit flavored oatmeal smoothie sounded strange but I am always willing to try things once! Plus I liked the ingredients of this and the idea of a super portable breakfast or snack like this appeals to me so much more now with 3 babies! I thought the portion size of these drinks was generous and the consistency of the drink was great.  They were really filling, I had them 3 days in a row for breakfast and didn’t even think about lunch until much later! This for me is the mark of a good breakfast as sometimes I don’t have the time to eat again just a few hours after breakfast.  My favorite was the strawberry banana but I did like all of the flavors.

Foodie Empress, an avid reviewer of all things food-related, shares why she loves Oatworks:

The soluble fiber in the oats, combines with naturally-occuring sugars in the fruits to ensure longer-lasting energy.  Absolutely NO sugar “highs” and “crash” (we all hate crashing)!

About Foodie Empress

Hi, I’m Foodie Empress. I always had a keen for Foods. It started about a year ago with just writing reviews on Yelp. I was just a regular gal who used Yelp to document my experiences at different Restaurants, Bars and Airports, ETC. I would just make a simple, yet short sentence per review. As I checked into more Restaurants, Lounges, Bars, Theaters, etc., I went in depth with the reviews. I found myself getting in deeper and more detailed with my reviews. Yelp Miami featured me in their July 2012 Email Newsletter, I was one of the top Yelpers. That was when I felt that I could do more with just writing reviews on Yelp, but the opportunity never presented itself. That was until Andre Kay CEO of Sociallybuzz, Inc., gave me the idea to start my own Foodie Blog and that was how Foodie Empress was born.

Spotted On: The NapTime Reviewer

To celebrate Earth Day, The Naptime Reviewer formed a list of greath earthy products that the whole family love and Oatworks was on that list:

Oatworks is a natural oat-based drink that satisfies your hunger and provides natural energy through the vitamins and minerals that occur naturally in it’s ingredients. The best part? It works with pretty much every diet. It’s vegan friendly, dairy free, soy free, kosher, and sweetener free among other things. Created in 2011, since creator David Peters is an avid runner, he found it was hard to have a good workout beverage that wasn't loaded with sugar, caffeine or any additives.

Spotted On: This Momma Runs

Meet a real mom-on-the-go who is always looking for quick, healthy options for her and her family, and see what she loves about Oatworks:

We had chilled the smoothies and shaken the bottle just as recommended. It was really good! We both loved it! It tasted just like you would think a fruit smoothie should taste. (smooth NOT lumpy)

I wasn't sure what to expect – I was pleasantly surprised, it was smooth and sweet. When you hear that there are ‘oats’ in the drink, you wonder how it will taste…I couldn't even tell they were there!

Spotted On: Terresa's Steals and Deals

Terresa highlights what she likes about Oatworks and about how it is now available at Whole Foods:

It is gluten free, vegan friendly, daily free, non-GMO, doesn't have cholesterol and nothing artificial.  It is just incredible how much oats are packed into this tiny drink - equivalent of 2 bowls of oatmeal!  What's most surprising is the fact that your tongue won't feel the oats at all.  It is super smooth and syrupy.

Great to take on the go, especially when you're in the rush in the morning.  It fills you up, and it's not overly sweet, just enough to tingle your taste buds.  When you don't even have time for instant oatmeal, this is the way to go!

During {Ask the Techxperts}, Liz King of techsytalk.com got the inside details of Oatworks during her interview with David Peters, founder and CEO of Oatworks.

What were the 3 keys to getting the company off the ground – where did you invest your time?
Lots of great companies have started either in the garage or in the kitchen and we were one of those that spent a lot of time creating our first products in the kitchen. It was really important to us to create smoothies that were both genuinely healthy and great-tasting. In addition, we wanted our smoothies to be completely smooth. Oatmeal in a bottle doesn’t sound so appealing but as anyone who’s enjoyed a bottle of Oatworks will tell you, our smoothies are lump-free and totally delicious.

MSN Money shares a list of new and awesome food products to hit US stores, and Oatworks is on the list:

Most workout magazines pound the table on the awesomeness of rolled oats. Let's be real, though, who is making oats with hot water before work? Nobody, hence the niftiness of this oats-with-flavor-in-a-bottle product. Caught my attention because it's one of the only smoothies not in the refrigerated section.

I recently tired a new oat-based smoothie called Oatworks, which comes in three flavors- Pomegranate Blueberry, Strawberry Banana and Peach Mango. This is a fantastic option for an on-the-go post work out snack or first thing in the morning. My personal favorite flavor it the Strawberry Banana. It’s a fresh fruit juice combined with all the nutritional benefits of oats.

Oatworks is natural, vegan, non-GMO, free of artificial flavors, preservatives or coloring, soy free and no cholesterol. The smoothie drinks are smooth, no worries of tasting chunks of oatmeal.
