Spotted On: Barista Kids June 20, 2014 Oatworks is a great gluten-free snack substitute for kids, and was recently showcased on Barista Kids! My daughter Alice and I both have Celiac’s disease, an autoimmune disorder that can occur in genetically predisposed people where the ingestion of gluten (wheat, rye or barley) leads to damage in the small intestine. While oats do not contain gluten they are almost exclusively processed in the same facilities as wheat products, making them dangerous for us to consume.
